The Cybercafe Search Engine
According to the site, the database contains listings for 6083 verified cybercafes, public internet access points and kiosks in 169 countries, as of September 2003.
There are many reasons why one might want to find a cybercafe. Some people need a place to access e-mail when they travel. Some hackers use cybercafes thinking that they are more anonymous that way. (I suppose they probably don't realize that cybercafes could have security cameras installed.) Cybercafe users may be far from anonymous, however. Take a look at this story about the fraudster who planted keystroke logging software at Kinko's and was able to obtain peoples' passwords, credit card numbers, bank account numbers and more.
