UPDATE: 1-20-05
I'm very pleased to say that the book is nearing completion. It has been expanded based on the feedback received from the many people interested in it. You are still welcome to submit questions for possible inclusion. Now that we are nearing completion, check this page for more frequent updates.
UPDATE: 7-29-04
The Internet is moving to a new protocol: IPv6. The way IP addressing is handled is changing. This will be covered in the book. Please send in your e-mail tracing questions. While there is no guarantee that they will be included in the book, an effort will be made to include all questions that come up a lot. Here are a few questions we've received so far:
1. How do you determine the physical location of where a website is hosted?
2. How do e-mail timestamps work?
3. How do you determine which "whois" registry to use to find out registration information for a website?
These questions will all be answered in the book!
